Fastest Cars In The World

A car is more than a simple number, yet aficionados and non-aficionados alike cannot repel the compulsion to judge or brag about a car based on its features and specifications.

Common benchmarks used during such bragging sessions include the Price, Horsepower produced, 0 to 60 mph time, cornering G force, and the most important of all, Top Speed.

With these benchmarks in mind, I have created an enumeration of the 30 fastest cars in the world. All these cars are engineered for speed as much as they are for comfort and a sporty appearance. That said, let the countdown begin:

30. Aston Martin One – 77 (220 Mph)

The Aston Martin One – 77 is a two-seater two-door flagship sports car designed by the British car manufacturer Aston Martin. This piece first appeared at the 2008 Paris Motor Show even though the car was mostly covered using a Savile tailored skirt throughout the show. It was fully revealed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

The One – 77 boasts a handcrafted aluminium body, full carbon fibre monocoque chassis, and a naturally aspirated 7,312 cc.

29. Lamborghini Veneno (221 Mph)

As the saying goes, in everything in life, you get what you pay for; and Lamborghini Veneno has proven this point by appearing in the “Most Expensive Cars in World” list as well as this one.

You read that right; it is one of the most expensive cars in the world. This 4.5 million dollars supercar is in fact quite the bargain if you manage to get your hands on one. With a 6.5 litre, this venomous Lambo closely matches superbikes in regards to performance: thanks to its top speed of 221 mph and a 0 to 60 mph acceleration of less than 2.9 seconds.

28. Gumpert Apollo (225 Mph)

I agree, the Gumpert Apollo still qualifies as the ugliest car ever manufactured in the world: but what it lacks in looks, it has made up for in speed.

With its claimed top speed of 225 mph, this machine embarrassed lots of renowned supercars when it first set foot in the industry back in early 2000s.

27.Noble M600 (225 Mph)

When someone mentions British supercars, our minds instantly turn to brands such as Jaguar, Aston Martin, and McLaren: but there is another car manufacturer that unquestionably deserves citing i.e. Noble Automotive.

The most notable of Noble’s productions is the M600. This car’s performance speaks for itself (650 horsepower, a top speed of 225 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles in 3 seconds.)

23. Zenvo TS1 GT (233 Mph)

Even though we do not see much of a speed difference, Zenvo TS1 is a successor of the Zenvo ST1. Also manufactured by the Danish Company Zenvo, the TS1 is a high-performance supercar handcrafted by a small team of genius workers.

It is the firm’s second supercar model and was invented back in 2009. This car readily grants you a max speed of 233 mph and also boasts the stability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.

22. Pagani Huayra BC (238 Mph)

No person with a sane mind would ever refer to the Pagani Huayra as tame. Coming with an AMG sourced bi-turbo V12 that’s pushing less than 3,000 pounds, this Italian Dynamo is the ultimate definition of a beast.

Even better, this beast’s formula is subject to improvement, and during the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Pagani proved this by unleashing the Huayra BC.

21. TVR Cerbera Speed 12 (240 Mph)

This work of art’s top speed is an astonishing 242 mph.

18. Koenigsegg CCR (242 Mph)

13 years ago, the Swedish Fast Cars manufacturer Koenigsegg held the world’s fastest record for a brief time. Koenigsegg CCR reached a top speed of 242 mph at Italy’s Nardo Ring back in 2005.

Even though this machine boasted impressive stats, its moment in the Guiness book of world records was extremely brief. It was quickly displaced by the CCX and later by the current Koenigsegg Agera.

17. Porsche 9ff TR 1000 (243.3 Mph)

While its details are limited, the 9ff TR 1000 boasts a flat six engine with large turbochargers, sports camshafts, a revised ECU, a high-performance exhaust system, a sports air filter, crankshafts, titanium con rods, and an improved intercooler.

13. Tesla Roadster (250 Mph)

The first Tesla Roadster was a sports car based off of the Lotus Elise, and even though its performance was undeniably impressive, it is more renowned for instituting Tesla as a competitive player in the automotive realm.

This new Roadster is a different thing altogether. It boasts the most impressive specification sheet compared to any EV before it: 0 to 100 mph in 4.2 seconds, 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds, and a recorded top speed of 250 mph.

12. Dauer 962 Le Mans (250 Mph)

Of all companies to have produced 962 road cars, Dauer has been the most successful. Dauer partnered with Porsche with an aim to manufacture a worthy contender for the 1994 24 hours of LeMans.

This massive amount of power is made possible by the Twin KKK turbochargers fit in the vehicle.

10. Aston Martin Valkyrie (250 Mph)

Aston Martin Valkyrie is like nothing we have ever seen before in the supercars’ realm. Designed by Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin, this machine will, without doubt, go toe to toe with the renowned Mercedes AMG Project One in the next hypercar battle.

9. 9ff GT9 (254 Mph)

A simple way to create a super-fast car is to take one that is already dynamic and customize it further. The prominent Porsche 911 is a perfect example of style and speed. What’s even better is that the German car-tuning firm, 9ff, took the 911 and customized it so it can be faster (9ff GT9 – R can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, and also reaches a top speed of 254 mph.)

How fast is the Chiron? The top speed of this stroke of genius is approximately 261 mph.

4. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (268 Mph)

This comprehensive list could be incomplete without a masterpiece from the all-time favorite, Bugatti. When Volkswagen acquired the Bugatti brand in 1998, it had one goal in mind: to create the fastest production vehicle in the world and this original Veyron Super Sport attained this goal.

With a price tag of 1.7 million dollars and a turbocharged W16 engine that produces 1,000 horsepower, it also sports the most superlatives compared to any other production car.

3. Hennessey Venom GT (270 Mph)

This masterpiece recorded an impressive 270 Miles per Hour at Kennedy Space Centre in the year 2014, but that was in only one direction. In order to be considered legitimate, speed record attempts usually require a run in each direction, after which an average is taken.

This is done so that those measuring the speed can account for wind conditions. Even though this masterpiece’s speed is mind-blowing, the Guinness Book of World Records could not recognize the car as the world’s fastest.

2. Koenigsegg Agera RS (278 Mph)

In regards to features and specifications, Hennessey Venom F5 is way cooler. It has claimed an astonishing speed of 301 mph which obliterates every other car in this list by a significant margin.

That said, Hennessey has not verified these numbers with the Guinness Book of Records. This implies that even though Koenigsegg Agera gets the silver medal in this list, it is the actual speed king according to the Guinness book of world records.

1. Hennessey Venom F5 (301 Mph)

Sporting a claimed top speed of approximately 301 miles per hour, Hennessey Venom F5 smashes the preceding top speed by more than 20mph. To attain this, smart minds behind this invention started with the newfangled, 2,950-pound carbon fibre chassis and also bolted a 7.4 – liter twin turbo V8 to the car.

As you can tell, the results were astounding. According to reports, Venom F5 accelerates from 0 to 250 to 0 mph in less than thirty seconds total. So without a doubt Hennessey Venom F5 is one of the fastest cars in the world.
